Description: Sensible and normal, she is a fair replacement for a straight man. Tess is the newest resident in the apartment, but knows Ian and Jo both from high school. Down to earth, and even a bit prudish, she is made uncomfortable by her roomates' casual demeanor about sex and nudity.
She grew up in Pennsylvania until her early teens, when she moved to Texas with her family. After highschool, she moved to her Uncle's place in Colorado while she got her bachelor's degree (during which time she got to know her grandfather, whom she get's her Irish features from). She recently moved back to Texas to start a master's program when her dog's urinary habits lead her to seek a new apartment.

Description: Flirty and brilliant, Jo is possibly the most intelligent of the roommates, but hides behind a demeanor of playfulness. She is openly sexual and a smidge of an exhibitionist, while at the same time, embracing the little-girl inside of her, she likes fairies and ponies and watches weepy dramas where teens in high school do things that no teen in high school actually does (much to Ian's dismay).
Originally from Florida, then New Orleans, Jo moved to Texas only just before her sophmore year of highschool. There she met Tess and Ian for the first time, and was good friends with them until parting their company to study.... well... something at a university in California, where she met Cal. After recieving her degree(s), she moved back to Texas, bringing along a few friends from the university. When Cal and Ian moved in together, Cal reintroduced Jo and Ian, who then hit it off and became, and still are, something of an item.

Description: Iriatable and technical, Cal is a tinkerer by nature. By all reasonable measures, he is a nerd. He plays unhealthy numbers of video games, enjoys hardcore science fiction, and holds the place as the technician of the house, fixing that which is broke.
A Californian by birth, Cal revolved in a cirlce of friends which Jo fell in with very quickly when she enrolled in university. Their contact, however, was broken when Cal was drafted and sent to Ardenia as a member of the "peacekeeping force". While in the army, Cal met Ian and the two hit it off. During a liberation of a Bultist rape camp, Cal recieved several wounds and was eventually shipped back to the states (with a purple heart). He tracked Jo down in Texas and the two met up. When Ian reappeared a few months later, Cal gladly took up his offer to room together.

Description: Erudite and odd, Ian has the finest taste of the roomates. He keeps his things neat, tidy, and simple. His spare time is spent reading or watching what he deems to be 'worthy' telivision and movies. He has a great love of Aaron Sorkin.
Born and raised in Texas, Ian was a slacker through all of his schooling. After highschool he moved out of his folk's place to hopefully get his band off the ground. Thus, he was contacted by the draft board at the start of the Ardenian war. During his time in the military, Ian met Cal and the two hit it off. After Cal was shipped home, Ian was involved in some sort of incident, after which he was reported as MIA. He was since reappeared in the civillian world, and refuses to explain what when on during his absence. He obviously works, travelling for extending periods often, but will not talk about it.
